Helping more at home

“I want to keep working.”
Emily is currently studying work education. It’s important to Emily to further her education so that she can get a good job.
“I want to find a job so that I can help out my mum.”
But there are many other reasons why Emily loves coming to class at Laverton Community Education Centre.
“I come because I have an awesome teacher and I have awesome friends – we have fun.”
Emily has been learning how to do interviews, and is developing the skills she needs to communicate in the workforce.
“If someone is stuck, we help each other out or ask the teacher.”
Learning in an environment that is supportive as well as fun has been priceless for Emily.
