New challenges ahead

When you have small children, sometimes you need a little extra support to build your confidence and learn new skills.
“I think it is important for young mums to have somewhere to go where they can connect with other young mums, as well as develop skills for everyday life”, explains Georgia.
Georgia became a champion learner at Zoe Support because she could undertake their learning programs while accessing the extra support she needed. The programs that she completed helped reduce her anxiety about learning and allowed her to find her voice to share her opinions.
Georgia learnt about food hygiene and cooking techniques in programs like ‘Earth to Table’ and ‘Contemporary Cakes’. She also completed Zoe Support’s small business programs.
“My tutor worked with me and we all solved problems together.”
Georgia has gone on to complete a Certificate IV and Diploma in Community Service and she recently gained employment in disability assistance at the local TAFE campus.
Georgia plans to continue learning with Zoe Support while she tackles the new challenges of her career.
