Learning with friends

Sobana
Sobana is originally from Sri Lanka. She is studying two courses at Wellspring for Women – a computer course and an English course.
She is very keen to work in aged care or maybe even take on more study in the future. But for now she wants some help to improve her English language skills.
“They are helping me improve my spelling, reading and writing and listening skills.”
At Wellsprings for Women, Sobana is learning new words and she is also learning how to write creative stories.
“They are helping me to socialise and to meet new people and learn new languages.”
Through the computer course that Sobana is also enrolled in at her Learn Local provider, she is also learning computer languages; how to navigate the Internet safely and at the end she will make a presentation to the class.
