Something for yourself

Maria
Maria emigrated with her family from Greece a couple of years ago. She enjoyed being a full-time mum at home but she knew she wanted to have a career as well.
“I decided to do something for myself.”
Maria enrolled in a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care at The Pines Learning and Activity Centre. The Certificate III is the minimum qualification required to work in child care.
‘That course gave me more confidence and I found a job immediately in the industry”, says Maria.
The Pines Learning and Activity Centre take steps to ensure their courses are relevant and include practical examples and useful information.
“My experience at Pines Learning was excellent. The curriculum was very interesting and the teachers were awesome!”
After completing her study, Maria now works at a local childcare centre. She is a happy, confident and productive member of the community.
