Celebrate the best of the Learn Local sector

2020 Learn Local Awards

Virtual Gala Series

This year, instead of a physical gala or a live online event, the 2020 Learn Local Awards are going to be announced through a Virtual Gala Series. Hosted by MC Sara James, the pre-recorded video series will feature interviews with the finalists, and you will find out the winner in the category at the end of each video.

Although 2020 has been a challenging year for many, these Awards continue to represent the Learn Local spirit, and we are looking forward to sharing the successes of the Learn Local sector with all of you.

From Monday 30 November, each award category video will be published at 2.00pm daily on the following channels:

There is no requirement to login or register to view these videos.

Visit www.facebook.com/learnlocal for further details on each of videos.

The series will be followed by a celebratory closing video featuring footage from this year’s 2020 Learn Local Awards Winners.

Once the Virtual Gala Series is complete, all videos will be available here on the Learn Local website.

Join in the fun and celebrate!

As restrictions begin to ease, we are encouraging the Learn Local community to celebrate with us by organising ‘socially distant’ viewing parties or afternoon teas. If you are gathering in small groups to view the videos and celebrate your successes this year, please continue to be conscious of the Department of Health and Human Services guidelines on gatherings.

As the finalists and winners are announced, join in the fun and ‘share your applause’ via photos and videos on social media using the hashtag #LearnLocalAwards

Victorian Learn Local Innovation in a time of COVID Acknowledgement Award

The ACFE Board is grateful for the hard work and commitment of the Learn Local sector, particularly as COVID-19 has presented so many challenges.

The 2020 Innovation in a time of COVID Acknowledgement Award has been introduced this year to help celebrate innovative programs and the providers and practitioners from the Learn Local sector who have gone above and beyond to deliver innovative solutions, in order to ensure ongoing delivery and ongoing connections with our learners during the COVID-19 pandemic. The recipients of this award will be announced on Thursday 10 December.
