Working in health

Gippsland East Learn Local Alliance (GELLA) in partnership with Central Gippsland Health Service is running an eight week program designed to provide long-term unemployed people with entry level skills to work in the health sector.

This program is a pre-accredited program. Pre-accredited programs are short courses designed for learners to gain confidence and skills. They focus on creating pathways to nationally accredited training or employment.

This program is all about raising awareness about the types of employment opportunities available in the health sector. The course runs for 4 days each week and topics include:

  • preparation for the workplace
  • workplace digital skills
  • critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • one week work placement.

GELLA is an alliance of Learn Local providers and other providers who have joined together to deliver quality learning throughout East Gippsland.
